    Restormel Borough Council granted planning permission (Ref.05/00630) for the erection of a new three storey building containing five apartments for holiday use to the rear of Surf Beach Hotel, 14 Esplanade Road, Newquay on 25th May 2005. A subsequent permission (Ref.10/00427) was granted by Cornwall Council on 25th May 2010 for an extension of time of planning permission 05/00630. An application (Ref.PA11/01187) to remove condition 4 of the planning permission 10/00427 (holiday use restriction) was registered on 21st February 2011. Restormel Borough Council granted planning permission (Ref.04/00045) for the conversion of the Surf Beach Hotel, 14 Esplanade Road, Newquay, into four holiday apartments and one residential apartment on 18th March 2004. Finally the holiday letting only restriction upon the existing appartments was lifted under application number PA11/05043 on the 17/02/12.
