The Homes for Britain campaign brings together the entire housing sector and calls on all political parties to commit to end the housing crisis within a generation.
The campaign comes from people across the country and organisations from every corner of the property sector have joined forces to make their collective voices heard. Alongside our colleagues from organisations such as the National Housing Federation and the Chartered Institute for Housing and Crisis, here at Countrywide we are calling for the Government to put housing back where it belongs – at the top of the political agenda.
We believe that everyone deserves the right to a roof over their head and as the largest estate agency and property services Group, we are proud to move more people than any other organisation in the UK. However, we can only help people find the right home if the Government commits to recognising housing with the same importance we do. This is why we are calling for the new Government to commit to publishing a long-term housing plan within one year of coming to office.
The Homes for Britain campaign recently encouraged thousands of people to take part in a housing rally on the doorstep of Government at Westminster Hall. This event was the biggest of its type in a generation and urged political parties to back the cause.
If you would like to get involved with the campaign register your support by visiting the Homes for Britain website, and write to your local parliamentary candidate. These candidates will have the power to make our collective ask a reality, so make sure your voice is heard.
