Situation
Deer Leap Farm is situated in stunning countryside 2 miles outside the town of Gillingham. Dorset's historic hilltop town of Shaftesbury is 6.5 miles to the south east whilst the fashionable town of Bruton lies 12 miles away. Gillingham offers a wide range of shops and supermarkets including a Waitrose.

There is a direct train service to London Waterloo from Gillingham (2 miles away) which takes approximately two hours. There are superb road links with the A303 lying four miles to the north.

The area is renowned for its excellent schools which include a superb mixed comprehensive and sixth form college in Gillingham. Private schools in the area include Port Regis, St Mary's Shaftesbury, Sandroyd, Clayesmore, Bryanston, Sherborne Boys and Girls schools, Leweston, Bruton schools and Millfield.

Sporting facilities in the area include horse racing at Wincanton, golf at Shaftesbury, Sherborne and Yeovil, and the region’s water sports are within easy access along the Dorset coastline at either Poole Harbour or Weymouth Bay.
