Soldiers Hill House, Listed Grade II, is the former Vicarage and dates from about 1840, with classical Georgian proportions and tall sash windows, making the interior very light and airy. The house, approximately 3,500 square feet, has been completely refurbished and re-modelled in recent years including new hardwood sash windows, re-plumbing, re-wiring and fitting out with high quality kitchen and bathrooms featuring underfloor heating on both the ground and first floors. The Coach House has also been transformed to provide a useful Studio Annexe of approximately 700 square feet, plus garaging, storage, boiler room and fuel store. Much of the gardens have been re-landscaped and replanted and there is a superb heated Swimming Pool located behind the Coach House.

Salcombe Regis is a picturesque hamlet within a conservation area, close to the famous and protected Jurassic Coast and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). It is, however, well placed, with Sidmouth and Sidford (approximately 2 miles), with a Waitrose and excellent specialist shops. Exeter is approximately 15 miles away, with all the services of a County Town including a hospital, university, theatre, a number of supermarkets and a new John Lewis. Communications are excellent with the A30 and railway station (London, Waterloo) at Honiton (8 miles) and Exeter Airport on the eastern outskirts of Exeter, where the A30 links to the M5.
